I had a patient share with me recently how much my treatments have helped her stay healthy and happy in her body. I asked if she would write up some of the reasons chiropractic care has helped her that I could share with others. Here is what she captured:
1. My body isn’t the same
This may seem obvious, but what I could do in my twenties, I can’t as easily do in my fourties–even seemingly low impact things like yoga. Go figure!? Seeing Dr. Chopyak regularly helps my body stay aligned so that I can still do a wide range of sports and exercise without getting injured.
2. I go before I need it
I used to think seeing a chiropractor was only for when I was in pain or injured, to get me out of pain or to fix an injury. Now I go even when I’m feeling good. Although it’s more of an investment, I find that my body is happier, more flexible, and less injury-prone when I stay in alignment through regular treatments. I have fewer calls to the office for Karla to fit me in asap to get me out of pain, and more relaxed appointments I can plan for to keep me tuned up.
3. It’s less expensive and invasive
When I was having a lumbar disc issue my MD said, “Why aren’t you just scheduling an epidural? You’ll need one eventually.” That was the only solution they saw to get me out of pain, despite it being incredibly expensive, even with insurance, and very invasive. Instead I sought chiropractic and non-traditional treatments and my disc pain receded.
I hope you’ve benefitted from her story. If there is anything I can do to support you in being vibrantly healthy in 2019, please come in to see me!
